May Day May Day!

- May 1st, 2008 Velveteria takes over Powell's Books with a month long show of our velvets and on May Day we unveil Black Velvet Masterpieces, our new book.
- Monday May 12th, we will be appearing on KATU A.M. Northwest at 9 am.
- Tuesday May 13, No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain will rerun the Pacific Northwest show on the Travel Channel at 5pm. Check out their visit here!
- June 24th we will have a book talk at Elliott Bay Books in Seattle at 7 pm, 101 South Main St.
- We are featured in an article about black velvet painting in UK's NUDE Magazine, Spring 2008 issue.
- Also in the news, Velveteria would like to thank Greg Gutfeld of Fox New's #1 show, Red Eye, for sporting the Unicorn Combover T-shirt on his show.

Velveteria congratulates Inara Verzemnieks on being a Pulitzer Prize Finalist for her feature writing for the Oregonian, her story on the museum was one of stories in the portfolio she sent. Inara you rock! Velveteria is in a new book, Oregon Curiosities by Harriet Baskas. It is about quirky characters and roadside oddities. See the Velveteria on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" (Cool guy, cool show!), season three, look for the show on the Pacific Northwest, re-run on April 28th, with Portland's author Chuck Palahniuk, who wrote the famed book "Fight Club" among others (It will rerun again see his site).
